I’m dreaming of a green christmas

“Tis the season to be jolly tra la la la la, la la la la”. Of course it is Christmas time again, a time for caring and sharing. It beats me each time I think of this that why people talk about caring and sharing during these festive seasons. Isn’t it supposed to be something internalized, a second nature aspect?

Ryan is getting a little hyped up with getting gifts for all his loved ones. And he is thoroughly thrilled that each gift he selects remains a secret till Christmas day. I asked him what would he like to get from Popo and he put up a pretentious look that his gift from me must also be a secret but at the same time wanting to tell me what he desires. To free him from this friction I told him that Santa needs to know exactly what each little girl and boy wants because he has too many to handle and may overlook something along the way. He obligingly gave me a clue ….. it starts with an A and also a T. OH no … it starts with a T and an A. He was afraid that Santa makes a mistake so he has to be very specific. And to be more specific he told me that the T stands for Toy and the A stands for Aeroplane. This made my shopping easier.

This Christmas is going to be a green christmas and by that I will select all my gifts with great care. I will check on some eco gift guide and hope there will be something for everyone. Would you go green with me this Christmas?

What do Buddhists hear?

My pureland in nomadic area, Tibet

A friend called me one day and while talking to him, he remarked that he hears chanting in the background. Probably he thought I was at some Pujas.

Guess what it was!! It was the vacuum cleaner doing its work! My home must be some kind of pureland on its own that even the sound of the vacuum cleaner sounded like chants. Thanks friend for alerting me on this fact.

Tea leaves reading – Tasseography

by Sandie on September 30, 2011

tea leaves 225x300 Tea leaves reading Tasseography

Many people have heard of or even visited a tarot card reader, an astrologer, a palmist but how about a “tasseographalogist” (huh! what a mouthful – I assume that’s what they are called as tea leaves reading is known as tasseography).

As with tarot cards and other forms of divination, your intuition and an open mind will help in tasseography. Everything is open to interpretation. Getting an accurate reading requires that you and the person you are reading for (the querent) believe in the power of divination. Doubt clouds judgement and shifts positive energies to negative energies.

So let us get started. You will need
1) A teapot without strainer to brew your tea
2) A mid-sized teacup, preferably white and without patterns to make sure you can see the formation of the tea leaves clearly.
3) A white saucer that matches the tea cup
4) And of course tea leaves. Good tea leaves for divination must be small and loose-leaf

How To
1) Put into teapot desired amount of tea leaves
2) Pour hot boiling water into teapot, place cover. Allow to sit for 5-7 minutes
3) Pour tea into cup. Allow the leaves to sink to the bottom
4) As the querent drinks the tea, concentrate on a specific question
5) Try not to talk during this focus time.
6) Sip the tea slowly – relax and enjoy the moment
7) When there is only a drop of tea left in the cup, it’s time to begin
8) Ask the querent to hold the cup by the handle in the left hand if querent is right handed.
9) Think about the question again.
10) Swirl the teacup in clockwise motion a couple of times
11) Then carefully and quickly turn the teacup upside down onto the saucer
12) Slowly turn the teacup back over. There should be no drops of water left in the cup, only clumps of tea leaves

The reading begins :
1) Have the handle of the teacup near to the body of the reader
2) Start reading from the handle in clockwise direction.
3) The handle and the zone near it represent your home life, family and people close to you
4) Divide the cup into 3 sections – the rim (uppermost part of the cup), the middle and the bottom.
Symbols on the rim – represent things happening close to present
Symbols in mid cup – represent not-too-distant future; within a month frame
Symbols at bottom – Distant future; about 3-6 months frame

Just as in dream analysis, tea leaves reading largely depends on the reader’s interpretation of symbols. Look at all the symbols, shapes and forms and see what comes to mind as a general first impression. Trust your intution. Over time and practice you will understand the subtleties and nuances of the art of reading tea leaves.

The Law of Attraction

by Sandie on September 29, 2011

I am a firm believer and practitioner of The Law Of Attraction & Abundance. I guess because of that, times have never been hard on me. There had been times when things did not go the way it should but, soon enough, with positive thoughts jumbled with joys and happiness, I have experienced many a pleasant surprise with the turn outs of events. When a road seemed to be a dead end, another path emerged. When some friends let you down terribly, another group carried you through. When one door closed, two doors opened.

What happened over the past two months had been the Law Of Attraction at its best. I give thanks to all that is happening. It is in giving that we receive, it is in forgiving that we find happiness.

For those who have the book “The Secret”, read it and put it into practise. For those who have yet to own the book, go get it, read it and put it into practise. It is also available in VCD. Another book to go for is “The Law Of Attraction” and a good DVD is “Abraham”. Abraham is a group of entities that channels through Esther Hicks. Enjoy!

A journey to the Unseen Dimension

I was spooky. I was hocus-pocus. My niece in Australia called me a witch (a white witch though). I was dabbling in the seen and unseen dimensions. Table tipping, automatic writing, mediumship, fire walking, seeing aura, ’spirit gazing’ moving along side with my reiki, pranic healing, crystals, body flush, ear candling etc. But nothing beats what’s to come next.

I was ‘invited’ to go on a one hour tour which cost RM1,000. And this ‘travel agent’ needed 10 to go. My friend and I approached many of our like-minded friends to take this trip with us. After some weeks of canvassing we managed to get one other who was interested to join us for this tour. But we needed 10 to go – we needed 7 more. Period! The tour was off.
